Support Advisor

Position Description: This position will provide support to the current advisors of The Lyman Group's investment arm, Keever Capital, LLC. Primary roles of the Support Advisor are client management, preparation and submission of client documents, and financial reporting to include compliance and journal entries. This position is the key contact for customer service in the day-to-day operations between clients, Keever Capital, and our broker-dealer (M Holdings Securities), and may have some participation in client meetings and follow-up work as needed. In addition, as we are a small office, light administrative work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Client account management
  • New account set up, coordination, submission, and management
  • Maintain online journals
  • Communication with and servicing of clients
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g. Case Design, New Business and Marketing) on marketing plans, clients proposals and ongoing administration
  • Maintain workflow management for items in progress and well-organized client files
  • Manage and coordinate compliance regulations
  • Light administrative responsibilities, including phone and appointment setting
  • Light office administration, including filing, vendor management, office supply orders
  • Back up for new business and underwriting
  • Participate in staff meetings & events
  • Participate as a team member in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Performs job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal/state rules and regulations as applicable to the position

Job Qualifications - Knowledge, Skill & Ability

  • Four-year college degree
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Series 7 & 63 licensed preferred; or must have ability to obtain securities license within three months of employment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Ability to create a positive atmosphere by demonstrating enthusiasm and a spirit of teamwork
